As an UI designer, I love to check out others work for inspiration. that is why I wrote my previous post, Beautifully Designed Mobile Applications Showcase #1. It’s that time again, time to take a look some handpicked beautiful mobile application user interface designs. This time you will see some UI design examples for Android, iOS, Windows Phone 7 apps.

Android Apps

doubleTwist (FREE) AirSync add-on ($4.99 or 99 cents for the first 10000 users)

doubleTwist is like music player software for Mac, PC and Android phones. It has a very clean dark user interface design. It’s one of the best and prettiest music apps for Android. AirSync is an add-on that allows wifi syncing between android phone and computer. Check out doubleTwist’s website.

Seesmic (FREE)

Seesmic for Android is a feature rich social media management tool. Think it as a twitter, Google Buzz, and Salesforce chatter all-in-one client. Go to Seesmic’s website for more information.

Slide Screen (FREE with ads Pro Version $7)

Slide Screen is a beautiful home screen replacement app made by Larva Labs. Instead of the standard grid of icons and widgets you’ve seen in default Android home screen, SlideScreen integrates information from various sources such as Twitter, Facebook, Email, SMS, Calender, Google Reader and so on … Learn more on their website.

手机QQ for Android (FREE)

QQ is the most popular free instant messaging app in China. It has more than 100 million users. It now offers more than just IM services such as games, micro blog, email, , news portals etc.. 手机QQ for Android is their solution for Android mobile handsets. It has a clean blue interface as default theme. In addition, the users can get more downloadable themes.

iOS Apps

Articles for iPad – The Wikipedia App ($4.99)

Articles for iPad – The Wikipedia App won the Apple Design Award in 2010. The overall look and feel is very clean and simple. Textures are used very beautifully as in wood and paper backgrounds. This app is designed by Sophiestication Software who are makers of some great iOS apps. Billings Touch (Free | Full Version $14.99 in-app purchase)

Marketcircle is a maker of the Apple Design Award winning time tracking software – Billings for Mac. And now they are bringing Billings Touch for iPhone. It’s a great addition to your mac client. Check out their website.

Diacarta ($1.99)

Diacarta, made by Squnch, it’s a planner app for iOS devices. Unlike other planner apps, Diacarta is way more visual. According to their description”Diacarta lets you create a mental picture of your day.” Every single elements of his app is uniquely custom designed. And its faded color scheme gives a retro look. Check out Diacarta on iTunes Preview.

Foobi by Tapplox ($0.99)

Foobi is a beautiful dietary managements iPhone application made by Taplox. It has an unique interface and slick colors. Read more about Foobi from Tapplox’s website.

On this day… (FREE)

Also designed by Sophiestication, “On this day…” is a stylish calendar app that lets you view historical events, birth and death dates on your iPhone and iPod touch. It’s free on iTunes.

Intelligentsia Coffee

For all you coffee lovers, Intelligentsia Coffee is a beautiful iPhone app about coffee. It has step-by-step instructional illustrations and descriptions for preparing coffee on multiple brewing devices. Got check out its lovely design and colors on iTunes.

Tipulator ($0.99)

Let’s take a look one more app made by Sophiestication. Called Tipulator, it’s a great example of beautiful custom UI. Read more about Tipulator on iTunes Preview.

The Font Game ($0.99)

Are you a typography junkie? Then you are probably already a fan of ILT. They are the maker of The Font Game, an iPhone game made for typography lovers. Check out The Font Game app’s website.

Windows Phone 7 Apps

AP Mobile (FREE)

Associated Press worked with Microsoft closely to deliver its rich news experiences for Windows Phone 7 platform. The interface is very native Zune / Windows Phone 7 like.

Foursquare for Windows Phone 7 (FREE)

Foursquare considers this to be an alpha release, even though everything works, but mostly because they need to clean up the code to follow standard patterns and best practices for Silverlight and Windows Phone 7.

Hush Hush ($ 0.99)

Not all Windows Phone 7 apps have the same interface. Hush Hush is a beautiful diary app that has a modal interface. learn more about this app from Jackson Fish Market website.

Final Thought

So, there are my picks of beautiful mobile applications. I know there are many more awesome apps deserve to be in the list.
